Payment Process - Important Information
Taylo is a marketplace platform only. We connect customers with tailors but do not process, handle, or facilitate any payments. All financial transactions occur directly between you and the tailor.
How Payments Work:
- Negotiate directly: Discuss and agree on pricing, payment terms, and delivery timeline with your chosen tailor through our chat feature.
- Payment method: You and the tailor decide on the payment method (cash, bank transfer, UPI, or other methods).
- Payment schedule: Agree on when payment is due - upfront deposit, upon completion, or split payments. This is entirely between you and the tailor.
- Manual transaction: Complete payment directly to the tailor using your agreed method. Taylo does not collect, hold, or transfer any funds.
- Keep records: We recommend keeping receipts, payment confirmations, and written agreements for your protection.
💡 Best Practices for Safe Transactions:
- Always communicate terms clearly before starting work
- Request to see samples or portfolio before committing
- Consider paying a partial advance (e.g., 30-50%) with balance on delivery
- Get written confirmation of agreed price, timeline, and specifications
- Use traceable payment methods when possible
- Inspect the finished product before making final payment
- Leave honest reviews to help the community
Your Responsibility & Risk Disclosure
You transact at your own risk. Taylo provides a platform for discovery and communication but is not a party to any agreement between customers and tailors. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of services provided by tailors.
Platform Limitations:
- No payment processing: Taylo does not handle, escrow, or refund payments. All financial disputes must be resolved directly with the tailor.
- No guarantee of work: We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or completion of any tailor's work.
- No liability for disputes: Taylo is not responsible for disputes, damages, losses, or any issues arising from your transaction with a tailor.
- Independent contractors: Tailors are independent service providers, not employees or agents of Taylo.
- User verification: While we encourage verified profiles, you are responsible for conducting your own due diligence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Verify tailor credentials, reviews, and past work before engaging
- Clearly communicate your requirements and expectations
- Negotiate fair terms and payment schedules
